Still busy

Just a notice, that my degree work is, predictably, becoming rather large and heavy going as the end of semester arrives. So no updates will be made until the weekend at least, where I will try to do some articles, inbetween recording a podcast.

Bringing Discordianism to the Masses!

I am proud to unveil a new project undertaken by the Principia Discordia forums collective, that of the PD.com Blog (name undecided, as of yet).

We're still in the early days of putting it all together, trying to not blow the site apart with bad coding, crash the server etc but we're fairly functional even now. Naturally, I'll be blogging whatever I do here over there as well, and you can expect original content from many others as well.

I'm not sure precisely how we are going to approach the user thing currently, but if I already lurk at your blog, chances are we would welcome your blogging expertise as well.

So, definitly bookmark this place, because I know right now there is going to be some excellent shit on there.

Update: I've added an RSS feed for the site on the side of this blog. Also, we're on Technorati. Expect more Web 2.0 functionality to be added over the next few days, along with some old content from my blog, and newer stuff from other PD.com posters.

Pranking about

Just a heads up to let you know blogging may be fairly light for the next few weeks. Not only am I going to finish my degree and finally (at last) get my bloody Master's, I'll also have my hands full with the R U Sirius course Pranks and Pranksters, Tricks and Tricksters at Maybe Logic, and a couple of other little side projects.

That said, I'm about to launch into a blogging blitz, so you'll have plenty to catch up on should I be busy.

Update: actually, my circumstances don't look too good right now, so I've had to withdraw from taking part in this, not to mention make ramen noodles a staple part of my diet again. Stupid rent changes...anyway, best of luck to the rest of you who are involved in this, and let me know what you get up to.

Its over

At last, the academic nightmare that is my dissertation has been sent off, so that second rate thinkers can try and pick apart my unassailable genius of a thesis.

So that's that over with, at least.

Now I'm technically on my holidays I should have more time to contribute to this and some creative endeavours. I'll probably be able to do my long awaited podcast before February, as well as some more creative pieces of writing as well.

However, for a few days, I'm just going to collapse into my bed, so if you'll excuse me...

Finally, I am about a week behind on my expected podcast timetable, but I probably will record it sometime tomorrow. Illness, including a blocked nose which made my voice sound ridiculous, is the main reason I fell behind on this. I do have some good material lined up though, and hopefully at least some will appeal.

Intrigue - its what's for dinner

So yeah, I've had a fairly busy week thus far. Busy coughing my guts up, that is. I blame all the new students in town, bringing all their dirty foreign diseases (like the Common Cold) to infect me and my otherwise pristine body.

That aside, I've been having fun, as usual. Lots of fun in fact, as I have been undertaking one of my favourite activities - infiltration. Nothing quite as fun as making your way into the lions den and slowly but surely changing things around you, or failing that, throwing a bloody big Golden Apple into the proceedings.

I am saddened and dismayed to inform you, dear readers, that I have in fact joined the Liberal Democrats. Even with the above purpose in mind, I know this in my heart to be an evil - nay, unforgivable act.

Alright, I'll stop. The Lib Dems, apart from being too broadminded to take their own side in an argument, aren't all that terrible, especially when compared to the Tories. But they do have a monopoly on this town, and we all know monopolies are bad for the Free Market. Plus, this being the constituency it is, I get to hobnob with some of the more important Lib Dem members. The higher up I can cause chaos, the more blessings Eris shall shower on me, after all (this time, she may even take them out of the lead buckets).

Apart from my positively entryist political tactics, I'm also having some fun with the Pastafarians, otherwise known as the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I was quite impressed with how upset they make the Creationist crowd, but they really do lay on the Holier-than-Thou atheism a bit strong. Its kind of like being at a Dawkins fan club meeting, which goes on forever. They suck all the fun out of fundie baiting, which makes me sad.

Oh, I should have something new and interesting coming up soon too for you all. Extending my vast multimedia presence, to be exact. If you haven't already guessed, just wait a few days. You'll find out soon enough.
